NASA confirms that an Asteroid will hit the Earth before US elections
NASA space agency predicted that a tiny small Asteroid may hit the earth before US presidential elections.
According to NASA data, an Asteroid which projected very close to the earth has a hitting chance of 0.41%.
Center for Near-Earth Object Studies (CNEOS), from Nasa’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, stated that a celestial object known as 2018VP1 is predicted to pass nearer to the Earth one day before the US presidential election i.e on 2nd November.
This year many space agencies from different countries have predicted that few asteroids are going to pass by earth and may have the chance of hitting the earth in 2020.
Palomar Observatory, California has first identified the 2018VP1 Asteroid they have not considered it “potentially hazardous object” due to its small size about 6.5 feet according to Nasa data. These hazardous objects "Asteroids" are considered dangerous because they can cause enough damage if hits the earth's surface.
A few weeks back an Asteroid came closer to the southern Indian region and scientists estimated that the chances of hitting the earth were high but it passed over the earth.
NASA says, our scientists are working on measuring the exact chances and stated that this tiny Asteroid could even cause huge damage to some region of the earth.
